Football event against racism and bullying organised in wake of Almondbury school attacks
An evening of football against racism and bullying has been organised in the wake of assaults on a Syrian boy and his sister at an Almondbury school.
Just Play Football, organised by Trillz Youth Group, takes place at Soccer City, Tandem Industrial Estate, Wakefield Road, Waterloo, on Friday 7 December (6pm to 10pm).
The event, which is open to all adults and children aged nine and above, has been co-organised by Fare Net which promotes equality in life and football.
The evening aims to bring Huddersfield’s diverse communities together.
It follows the assaults of a Syrian boy and his sister at Almondbury Community School. Both assaults were caught on video and caused international outcry.
